Douglas Bosley is a Founding Partner at the Witan Law Group, a California legal practice that among other sectors, supports the state’s technology, manufacturing, and finance communities. His expertise in Corporate Transactional and Securities law, includes guiding technology start-ups and investment funds from formation through successful exit, including governance, transactions and securities, litigation and dispute management, and restructuring.

 

Mr. Bosley’s services client portfolio includes companies, investment funds, and high-net-worth individuals from the U.S. and China. He serves on the Board of Directors of a Chinese-majority-owned, NASDAQ listed U.S. manufacturing company, and has provided strategic counsel on numerous U.S.-China cooperation projects.

 

Douglas Bosley has guided venture capital firms, venture-backed companies, and other clients  through mezzanine debt transactions, and a wide range of other types of financing and securities transactions, and he has represented buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisition transactions. He has further expertise in general corporate matters including formation and start-ups; equity compensation; and, contracts such as licensing, joint ventures, representative agreements, and development and service level agreements.

 

In addition to his service at the Witan Law Group, Mr. Bosley has served as general counsel of a Sacramento-based venture capital and professional services firm, is a Member of the board of advisors at the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at California State University Sacramento and at HackerLab. He is a frequent speaker before business groups on legal issues related to start-ups, mergers and acquisitions and venture capital transactions.

 

Douglas Bosley possess Juris Doctor (Duke University) and Bachelor of Arts in Economics (California State University Sacramento) degrees.
