Over the course of three decades in California politics and public service, including leadership as Chief of Staff for state legislators in both the State House of Representatives and State Senate, Cris Forsyth has advised and developed a vast network of relationships with senior level elected officials, appointed regulatory agency leaders, and the mayors of numerous cities in both the Los Angeles and Silicon Valley regions. He has influenced legislative policy and played a major role in the election and reelection of numerous state legislators.
Mr. Forsyth has personally staffed hundreds of legislative proposals, taught college courses in American Government and California Politics, and guided companies, trade associations, and other entities to successfully see their ideas become law, and amend state regulations and policies changed to meet their objectives.
Mr. Forsyth assists start-up and emerging technology companies in navigating state and federal government agencies to attain government contracts. He has successfully led legislative budget request efforts that produced millions of dollars in state funding for the purchase of client manufactured technologies. He also leads strategic public relations, media communications and crisis management teams to guide clients through rapid political and regulatory changes.
His additional areas of expertise include: developing legislative and regulatory agency proposals; designing and managing legislative strategies from bill introduction, through the committee process and to approval by the Governor; media relations; legislative research; building legislative coalitions; and, political strategy.
Mr. Forsyth possess Master of Arts in Political Science (California State University, Fullerton) and Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations (California State University, Fullerton) degrees.
